What is the best alternative to Celonis for a construction company?
For EPC project finance on Grey Infra, the alternative is Crestline, which is built for RA bills, retention and vendor payments. For a SAP group it is SAP Signavio. For a Microsoft shop it is Power Automate Process Mining. We checked all five on 3 October 2026 and none publishes a construction offering.

When is Celonis still the better choice than these alternatives?
Celonis is still the better choice for a large group that needs breadth: many systems, many process types and a recognised vendor. Crestline narrows the field to one job, and Celonis keeps these advantages.
- Enterprise scale
- Celonis says it serves more than 1,400 businesses and targets enterprise companies with complex processes.source (October 2026)
- Connector breadth
- Celonis names no-code integrations with ERP systems, cloud tools and custom software, including SAP and Oracle. Crestline's live connector today is Grey Infra only.source (October 2026)
- Analyst placement
- Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Process Mining Platforms, furthest on Completeness of Vision and highest on Ability to Execute.source (October 2026)
- Ecosystem
- A free plan to try, and a Bengaluru office opened in 2021 (third-party listing). Crestline is invite-only.source (October 2026)
Which alternative fits which situation?
Start from your ERP and the question you need answered.
- Crestline
- EPC project finance on Grey Infra: RA bills, retention, vendor payments, every delay priced in rupees. Read-only.
- SAP Signavio
- Your group runs on SAP and wants process mining native to that estate. Signavio says it can show insights in under 24 hours once connected to SAP (vendor claim).
- Microsoft Power Automate Process Mining
- You are already on Power Platform. It needs a case ID, an activity and timestamps, and accepts CSV, Dataverse and SQL Server data.
- UiPath
- You want to act on findings with automation. It offers native SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Workday connectors, and both SaaS and self-hosted.
- Apromore
- You are a large enterprise wanting simulation and modelling, or Salesforce-centred. Salesforce signed to acquire it in October 2025.
What Crestline is not
Crestline is read-only analysis for EPC project finance, so it is the wrong pick in these cases.
- Not an ERP, and it replaces nothing.
- Not accounting software or project management software.
- Not a general process mining platform: no manufacturing, HR or contact-centre processes.
- Not a task mining or automation tool, and it does not write back to your systems.
- Not usable today on an ERP other than Grey Infra, unless you can supply an event-log export with a case id, an activity and a timestamp.
Questions people ask about Celonis alternatives
Is there a process mining tool built for construction?
Crestline is built for EPC contractors' project finance. Among Celonis, SAP Signavio, Microsoft, UiPath and Apromore, none publishes a construction offering (checked 3 October 2026, as of October 2026).
Is there a free alternative to Celonis?
Celonis itself has a free plan. Apromore offers a 30-day free trial and SAP Signavio a free trial. Microsoft's add-on is US$5,000 a month on top of Power Automate Premium (as of October 2026). Crestline has no free tier.
Which Celonis alternative is cheapest?
We cannot say. Only Microsoft publishes a figure, US$5,000 a month for the add-on. Celonis, Signavio, UiPath, Apromore and Crestline publish no amounts, so a ranking would be a guess.
Can Crestline run on SAP or Tally?
Not as a live connector today. Crestline's only live connector is Grey Infra ERP. For another system it needs an event-log export with a case id, an activity and a timestamp.
What does Crestline not do that Celonis does?
Crestline does not cover processes outside EPC project finance, does not do task mining or automation, and does not write back. It is read-only by design.
